The palace Gulistan was built in 1979-1980 by famous architects Nazim Hajibeyov and Hafiz Amirkhanov, who skillfully used the geographical feature during the construction planning. Gulistan is located in the mountainous part of the city, from where you can see a beautiful view of the Baku bay and the city landscape. The building was designed in the style of traditional motifs of Azerbaijani architecture: balconies, framed by arched rows, give the palace a kind of oriental charm. These balconies, suspended on the walls of the first floor in the form of consoles, recreate the play of shadows and light, thereby conveying the impression of lightness and elegance. Gulistan Palace consists of two main floors, supplemented by an additional, ground floor. On the ground floor there is a luxurious lounge restaurant "Serpantin", designed for 100 guests and smoothly changing into a bar area with a cozy fireplace and sofas. On the second floor there is a large hall with a capacity of more than 1000 people, ideally suited for holding mass events such as conferences, gala dinners, concerts and formal receptions. Professional cooks of Gulistan offer guests delicious dishes of Azerbaijani, European and world cuisine.
